If you regularly read our blog, then you know that we spotlight A LOT of random holidays: World Toilet Day, Pi Day, and Mustache March, just to name a few. But one thing that has always confused us is the sheer number of national food months there are. Take next month for instance. May is not only carrots and cauliflower month, but also grapefruit and kiwi month, barbeque month, egg month, hamburger month, salad month, salsa month, potatoes and limes month, and finally, sweet vidalia onions month. Its crazy!
Where did all these food months come from? I have a couple theories. One is that someone important wanted to either immortalize their favorite food or confuse everyone. So they got a bunch of food months pushed through and now we are all left to wonder what happened. The other is that someone is looking out for Newscom and wanted to give us an excuse to showcase all our fabulous food photography.
Personally, I think it was the second option. Newscom has mouthwatering stock photos of practically any food you can think of. It makes me hungry just to think about it!
